Hello, I’m Vidhi,
Co-founder of Psync—a space built on compassion, integrity, and the belief that everyone deserves access to ethical and empowering mental health care.
My journey as a psychologist began in New York City, where I worked with nonprofit organizations providing individual and family counseling to trauma survivors. These were individuals navigating incredibly complex challenges—domestic violence, systemic injustice, housing instability, and legal battles—often while carrying deep emotional wounds. That work taught me the power of a safe therapeutic space, one that doesn’t just help people survive but enables them to reclaim their identity, voice, and sense of control.
After returning to India, I expanded my practice by working with qualified psychiatrists, where I supported individuals from rural parts of the country. These early years gave me a deep understanding of how mental health challenges are often intensified by structural barriers—lack of access, social stigma, and the absence of clear, ethical systems of care. These experiences exposed me to the stark disparities in access to mental health care—and the urgent need to bridge the gap between professionals and the people who need them most
Today, I run Inner Canvas, a private practice I founded 2.5 years ago to provide a safe, thoughtful space for children, adolescents, young adults, and families seeking meaningful and ethical support. Over the years, I’ve built nearly six years of experience in the field, and what continues to drive me is a core belief: mental health is not a luxury—it’s a human right.
Too often in India, people don’t know where to begin. They may not know what kind of help they need, how to choose a psychologist, or whether they can trust the person sitting across from them. The mental health space is largely unregulated and disorganized, which makes it even harder for people to feel safe enough to seek support. And when someone’s first encounter with therapy is a negative one, it can cause lasting harm.
That’s why my Nikita and I came together to build Psync. We both shared a dream of creating a platform in India that is accessible, ethical, client-led, and inclusive—a space that doesn’t just provide services, but helps people truly come back into sync with themselves.
Psync was built to bring all of this together under one roof—a place where therapy, psychiatry, wellness tools, and education come together in a way that is ethical, inclusive, and deeply human. We want to organize the mental health space in India so that no one has to ask, “Where do I go?” or “Who can I trust?”
If you choose to begin your healing journey with us, I promise to meet you where you are—with respect, empathy, and care. You deserve to feel empowered, understood, and in charge of your own healing. And I will be honoured to walk with you on that path.
Warmly, Vidhi
